Urban Heights Magazine Fellowship Program

Overview:
The Urban Heights Magazine offers a fellowship program to six individuals interested in journalism and the operations of a magazine. Each fellowship lasts 9 months, beginning in September and ending in May.
The fellowship program is open to recent graduates and graduate students. There are no favored majors or required field of study for graduate students.

There are five general areas of focus,

(1) Editorial
(2) Reporting
(3) Operations (Business Operations)
(4) Design & Layout
(5) Advertising
(6) Technology (Web Development)
Application Process:

(1) Please summarize your interest in creating a platform to encourage or facilitate thought. (200 words)
(2) Share something that you are passionate about. (200 words)
(3) Why are you interested in working for the Urban Heights Magazine? (100 words)

Requirements:
The fellowship program requires a dedication of ten hours per week. Each fellow is required to operate as part of the staff, completing weekly and sometimes long term projects. Each fellow is required to attend a bi-monthly staff meeting, during which each fellow will present his or her work. Each project will require interaction with all staff members as well as the Editors, Advertisement Head, and Operations Head.

Urban Heights Magazine Internship Program

Internships are offered year round and require a 3 to 4 month commitment. To apply for an internship in one of the six areas of focus please submit a resume and cover letter to Internships@UrbanHeights.com.
